Mask Museum of Ambalangoda

Galle is only just one hour away from the beach town of Ambalangoda in the South. There is a wealth of talent in Sri Lanka’s traditional art and subculture scene. Go around the Ambalangoda Mask Museum which has stood for decades as a symbol of authenticity.

Turtle Hatchery in Kosgoda

Visit the turtle hatchery on the beach strip of Kosgoda where fishermen collect turtle eggs that are then incubated and released into the ocean. Currently, six of the seven species of sea turtles are under threat of extinction. Most of it results from the overuse of natural resources by humans.

Stilt Fishermen Weligama

Unawatuna Beach
