Itinerary
Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage

See the injured and abandoned elephants at Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage. It is a sight to behold as the elephants make their way to the river. Three times a day they are forced to take a bath in the nearby river after which they are fed. It’s amusing and touching to watch these baby elephants being bottle-fed.

Temple of Tooth Relic

Visit the Temple of the Tooth Relic in Kandy, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Every day, hundreds of local and foreign worshipers as well as visitors visit this most significant temple.

Royal Botanical Gardens

The Royal Botanical Gardens of Peradeniya are the country’s oldest formal gardens. An estimated two million tourists both domestic and foreign visit this attraction each year. The park which is well-known for its orchid collection and its extensive walkways framed by palm trees is home to about 4000 distinct plant species. Orchids, spices, flowers, timber, and palm trees are some other types of plants.

Kandy Viewpoint

One of those amazing spots that offers a thorough overview of the medieval town is the Kandy perspective. A stunning backdrop is provided by the placid Kandy Lake and the hazy mountains around. This is the location to go if you want to snap a photo or just take in Kandy’s beauty from above.

Gem Shop/Wood Carving and Batik Shop

Stroll through Kandy, stopping at gem stores, wood carving shops, and batik shops to purchase gifts.

Giragama Tea Factory

This is one of the most popular places in Sri Lanka to visit while making tea. The scene which is set in the undulating hills close to Kandy is breathtaking. You’ll notice sari-clad tea pluckers casting flashes of shade as you meander through the verdant estates.
